Nocturnal search operations have become a routine affair in South Kashmir. Day or night, Government Forces on average cordon off six to seven villages of South Kashmir villages and conduct door-to-door searches though most of these operations yield no results. During the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday, Government Forces cordoned off Payeen Mohalla of Rohmu village of Pulwama district.

The operation ended at 3 am of the night. People were asleep when they were directed to come out from their houses.

Though, no one was arrested but according to locals, Army snatched the cell phone and identity card of a youth whom they identified as Muhammad Imran. “He was asked to present himself before the army camp,” said a group of locals.
